AP govt withdraws 'general' consent to CBI to exercise authority in state

The central investigating agencies like the CBI can no longer conduct probes in Andhra Pradesh without state govt's consent. The state govt exercising its power under sec 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946, has withdrawn 'general consent' given to such agencies. CM Naidu took this extreme step against the alleged misuse of central institutions by the central govt.
